Document & Folder Management

Sprouti offers flexible document management combining hierarchical folder structure with a tagging system. Organize documents efficiently with intuitive drag & drop operations and pin/lock features.

Basic Folder Structure

Folder Features

  • Unlimited Hierarchy: Create deep hierarchies as needed
  • Auto Sort: Sort by name, creation date, or update date
  • Folder Information: Manage descriptions, tags, and creation time

Document Operations

Creating New Documents

Method 1: From Sidebar

  1. Press the explorer button on the left side to enable tree view
  2. Right-click on the tree view and select "New Document"
  3. Enter document name and press Enter

Method 2: Create in Folder

  1. Right-click on target folder
  2. Select "New Document"
  3. Enter document name and press Enter

Renaming Documents

  1. Right-click on document
  2. Enter new name in the Document Name field in the right-side document info panel
  3. Press Enter to confirm

Duplicating Documents

  1. Right-click on document
  2. Select "Duplicate"
  3. Select destination folder

Deleting Documents

  1. Right-click on document
  2. Select "Delete"
  3. Click "Delete" in confirmation dialog

Note: Deleted documents cannot be recovered. Please use the lock feature for important documents beforehand.

Folder Operations

Creating New Folders

  1. Press the explorer button on the left side to enable tree view
  2. Right-click on the tree view and select "New Folder"
  3. Select the newly added folder
  4. Update the Folder Name field in the right-side document info panel

Creating Subfolders

  1. Select parent folder
  2. Right-click and select "New Folder" to add folder

Drag & Drop Operations

Moving Documents

  1. Click to select the document you want to move
  2. Drag to the destination folder
  3. Drop into the destination folder
  4. Move completes automatically

Moving Folders

  1. Click to select the folder you want to move
  2. Drag to the destination folder
  3. Drop into the destination folder
  4. Move completes as subfolder

Pin Feature

What is Pinning?

A feature to always display important documents at the top during search and list display.

Pin Operations

  1. Right-click on document or folder
  2. Select "Pin"
  3. Item moves to top with pin icon displayed

Unpinning

  1. Right-click on pinned item
  2. Select "Unpin"
  3. Returns to normal position

Pin Use Cases

  • Current Projects: Folders currently being worked on
  • Important Documents: Frequently accessed specifications
  • Templates: Frequently used document templates
  • References: Information for quick reference

Lock Feature

What is the Lock Feature?

A protection feature to prevent accidental deletion of documents or folders.

Setting Lock

  1. Right-click on document or folder
  2. Select "Lock"
  3. Lock icon is displayed on item

Restrictions on Locked Items

  • Cannot Delete: Delete operations are disabled
  • Move Restrictions: Some move operations are restricted
  • Rename: Possible (content is protected)

Unlocking

  1. Right-click on locked item
  2. Select "Unlock"
  3. Lock icon disappears and normal operations are available

Lock Feature Use Cases

  • Completed Documents: Protect final versions
  • Template Files: Protect originals
  • Important Project Folders: Prevent accidental deletion
  • Reference Materials: Protect source data
